Simulation Lab Assistant – College of Nursing

The University of Tennessee Knoxville, College of Nursing is accepting applications for a Simulation Lab Assistant.  This position provides support to the Simulation Coordinator and reports to the College of Nursing Simulation Director. Main purpose is to assist the Simulation Coordinator in preparing for all teaching/learning activities in both the Learning Lab and the Health Information Technology [HITS] lab. Duties include preparing essential equipment and supplies required to teach students how to perform nursing skills prior to entry into clinical settings.

Responsibilities:

* Setting up and breaking down simulation labs for student and faculty use.

* Ensures that simulation labs are well-organized, clean and orderly at all times

* Management of supply inventory, ordering and restocking supplies to support simulation education activities

* Simulation equipment maintenance: cleaning, quality assurance checks, requesting repair



Qualifications

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma (required) EMT, LPN, RN training (required) Associate’s Degree (preferred)

* 1-2 years pre-hospital or acute care inpatient care

* Experience with working in medical/nursing learning lab
