Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job:

Ability to teach traditional (lab based) and online courses is expected. The successful applicant will contribute to our growing undergraduate research program. The applicant is expected to help with improving the Engineering Design Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology programs including further development of lab and teaching resources, curriculum development, and application for academic accreditation (i.e., SACS and ABET, ATMAE).

Educational Requirements for the Position:

An earned Master’s degree in engineering technology with Design & Development emphasis, Engineering Design, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering with Engineering Design & Technology emphasis, Industrial Technology with Product or Architectural design emphasis, Manufacturing Engineering/Technology, Architecture/Architectural Technology or Engineering, or other closely related fields

Experience Required for the Position:

Desired areas of interest include product design and development, engineering design and technology, industrial design, manufacturing and production systems, architectural design, or other subjects related to engineering design and development. Three years of design industry experience is required, and college teaching experience are preferred.

Other Requirements for the Position:

Excellent communication skills are required. Applicant must have a strong commitment to undergraduate education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
