Minimum Qualifications:

Requires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree. 3-5 years of experience in event management, development, or related field.

Position Summary:

The Associate Director of Donor Relations, Stewardship, and Special Events reports to the Senior Director of Donor Relations, Stewardship and Special Events and is responsible for developing and implementing quality events, experiences, and stewardship offerings for the UGA Athletic Association donors to further support the Athletic Association’s missions of supporting student-athletes and facilities. Responsible for overseeing activities within The Georgia Bulldog Club at the University of Georgia Athletic Association with a focus on the coordination of managing special events, donor stewardship activities, communication with donors, and managing game day and event day operations.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:

  • Direct experience working with donors and Division I collegiate athletes.
  • Strong attention to detail, along with experience with reporting and databases.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work as a team member within a complex organization involving collaboration, teamwork, and communication.

Working with the Sr. Director of Donor Relations, Stewardship, and Special Events, share ideas and implement changes for streamlining processes and developing quality events; Work collaboratively across a large, complex organization, often serving as a liaison between multiple departments and teams

Collaborate to help execute strategic stewardship engagement activities and events for various giving societies and annual fund benefits; Support pre-event arrangements, day-of set up, and on-site event supervision of vendors, staff, and, speakers; Plan, coordinate and execute events, including preparing creative briefs and event agendas, determining programming and themes, and managing onsite and online logistics
