Location

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Provides primary support to the department leadership with the evaluation, development, and execution of all compliance-related activities, including advising on policy and protocol changes, investigation of possible violations, and representing the compliance office in any matter as needed. Responsible for supervising assigned staff, setting employee goals, performance management and providing feedback. Interacts on a regular basis with student-athletes, coaches, staff, and external constituents. Typically, will advises and counsels student-athletes, coaches, staff, and external constituents.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assists with the development, implementation, and updates to the Kennesaw State University (KSU) athletics compliance policies and procedures
2. Serves as a liaison to assigned sports, and institutional constituents on all NCAA compliance matters
3. Provides oversight and plans the NCAA Rules Education Program for internal and external entities
4. Addresses violations of NCAA rules, KSU athletics regulations, or conduct that impacts policies and/or the reputation of KSU
5. Monitors systems (policies and procedures) to ensure adherence to University, Conference, NCAA and/or other regulations

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in an appropriate area of specialization.

Required Experience
Three (3) years of job related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Masters or Juris Doctor degree

Preferred Experience
Experience in Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) Division I athletics program

Proposed Salary

The budgeted salary range is $58,000 to $65,000. Offers are based on relevant experience.

ABILITIES
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of recruiting and/or monitoring systems (i.e., JumpForward or ACS/FrontRush) and NCAA Applications (i.e., RSRO, LSDBi, Eligibility Center)

SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite, JumpForward, ARMS, INFLCR, Teamworks, NCAA My Apps [Legislative Services Database, Requests/Self Reports, Eligibility Center, etc.])
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
