Position Description:
Reporting to the Associate Dean for Marketing and Communications, the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications will work to increase the profile of the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health (FSPH) through strategic school-wide events management, as well as conception, production, and deployment of marketing and communications collateral and campaigns across all digital and traditional platforms.
The Assistant Director will work on projects including strategic school-wide events and key marketing and communications efforts including brand awareness and the growing and maintaining of the School's branding assets. The incumbent will write, edit, and disseminate stories on FSPH's initiatives and research, and will collaborate with other units to ensure effective communication and raise the profile of the School. The incumbent will also play a key role in conceptualizing and supervising visual projects including but not limited to videography and photography.


Special Instructions:
This is a 2-year contract with possibility of extension.

In the 2007 edition of U.S. News and World Report, UCLA Medical Center was ranked best in the West, as well as one of the top 3 hospitals in the United States alongside Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Johns Hopkins Hospital. In 15 of the 16 medical specialty areas examined, UCLA Medical Center ranked in the top 20.
