Research Program Assistant II
We are seeking a Research Program Assistant II who will work under general supervision and support departmental research programs and/or clinical trials with study data collection and organization through the process of recruiting and coordinating activities for a research study. The range of duties includes but is not limited to: patient recruitment/ interviews, eCONSENT completion, patient scheduling, data collection, data entry, organizing collected information; and records management.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Recruitment
  • Identify potential eligible patients to be recruited for allergy research project.
  • Post study flyers throughout campus.
  • Participate in the prescreening process by phone or in clinic.
  • Complete consents either via eCONSENT or in clinic.


Study Visits
  • Contact participants and schedule research visits in EPIC, ICTR and provider schedules.
  • Ensure that research charts are prepared on a timely manner, organized and maintained.
  • Make appointment reminder calls/emails to the study patients.


Documentation Management
  • Obtain signatures on essential documents for research charts and regulatory binders.


Data Management
  • Enter visit data for study patients in RedCap, iMEDIDATA and other research ecteronic data systems on a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Special Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • The candidate should have excellent organizational, communication and writing skills.


Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.
  • Two years related experience.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree.

Starting Salary Range: Min $15.00 - Max $25.50 HRLY ($36,000 budgeted; Commensurate with experience)

JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.

The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers. Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.
