Job Details

Wells College, in Aurora, NY, is seeking applicants for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics position beginning August 2023.  The position is a one-year visiting appointment, with the possibility of renewal. It comes with a 3-3 teaching load. The focus of this position will be to steward our elementary math offerings, including such classes as pre-calculus and elementary statistics in consultation with both mathematics and other fields depending on quantitative literacy. Ability or experience teaching a diverse range of students desired.

Required Qualifications: 

  • PhD in Mathematics, statistics, or developmental math or related fields preferred.
  • Undergraduate teaching experience 
  • Demonstrated strong commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion and to a student-centered undergraduate education.
