Dean, College of Professional Studies
The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point seeks an innovative, community-focused leader to serve as the next Dean of the College of Professional Studies.

Established in 1894, UW-Stevens Point is one of 11 comprehensive universities in a public higher education system that also includes two doctoral institutions and a statewide Extension. UW-Stevens Point enrolls approximately 8,135 undergraduate and graduate students across three campuses in the heart of Wisconsin, with locations in Stevens Point, Marshfield and Wausau. UW-Stevens Point equips its students to live sustainably, think critically and realize long-term success in a diverse world.

The College of Professional Studies (CPS) is the one of the most successful colleges at UW-Stevens Point, consisting of the Sentry School of Business and Economics, School of Education, School of Health Sciences and Wellness and Military Science. The three Schools house 26 bachelor's, seven master's and three doctoral degree programs, enrolling approximately 3,200 students. The College also operates 12 centers that function on program revenue.

The incoming Dean will report directly to the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and be an integral and vital part of UW-Stevens Point's leadership team. The Dean will cultivate the innovative and growth-minded culture of the College, serving as an adaptable and future-focused leader who can lead the College to respond to the changing world of higher education. They will champion student and faculty success in all they do, working collaboratively across campus to identify new partnerships. The Dean will be a strong advocate for the College, engaging external partners in the life of the College, stewarding and creating new partnerships in the community, leading to philanthropic support and learning and career opportunities for students.

The successful candidate will have a successful record of academic administrative leadership experience within a complex organization. The Dean will be an authentic and passionate advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion across student, faculty and staff communities. They will be a strong listener and possess the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all constituencies, particularly with regional communities. The successful candidate will have earned a terminal degree in a recognized academic discipline from an accredited institution and possess the credentials that would qualify them for the rank of tenured professor in one of the departments of the College at the time of their appointment.
