The University of Houston Andy and Barbara Gessner College of Nursing at Katy is seeking an outstanding candidate with the potential for exceptional clinical practice, scholarship, excellence in teaching, and a clear commitment to enhancing the diversity of the faculty, graduate, and undergraduate student populations. The anticipated start date for a qualified applicant for a 9-month promotion eligible non-Tenure-Track faculty position with a starting date as early as August 2023 and will continue until the position is filled.

Faculty responsibilities include: ongoing curriculum development and evaluation; classroom and clinical instruction in the undergraduate and graduate programs using on-site, simulation, on-line, and distance education strategies; some travel; participation in college and university committees; engaging in scholarship, service and academic advising. Description

1.      Doctorate in nursing or related field required.
2.       Master's degree in nursing from a professionally accredited school of nursing if the doctorate is not in nursing.
3.       National certification in clinical specialty area required.
4.       Candidate must possess unencumbered license as a registered nurse in Texas.
5.       Minimum 2 years of clinical experience required.
6.       Excellent clinical and communication skills.
7.       Minimum 2 years teaching experience required.
8.       Published in peer reviewed articles.
