Job Description Summary
This position performs a wide variety of technical, instructional, evaluative, organizational and managerial functions for the National Criminal Justice Training Center (NCJTC) and its various programs, projects, and activities. The service population includes the Criminal Justice Division, other departments within the College, local, state, and federal agencies, tribal governments, minority groups, universities, and service organizations. This position requires subject matter expertise relevant to Child Abduction Response Teams (CART), the Southern and Northern Border Initiatives, and international and territorial programs. This position requires a strong ability to apply techniques and processes to deliver, develop, design, evaluate, and manage NCJTC activities, including training, technical assistance, conferences and services.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Coordinate the delivery of training and technical assistance for assigned NCJTC projects.
  • Serve as an instructor or lead instructor and subject matter expert as needed for all CART training, technical assistance, and certification programs.
  • Plan, develop, and coordinate the Southern Border Initiative deliverables and other international projects to include territorial partners.
  • Plan, develop, and coordinate the Northern Border Initiative deliverables.
  • Plan, develop, and coordinate other project deliverables in accordance with applicable contracts, grants, and FVTC policies and procedures.
  • Assist in planning, budgeting, and allocating resources for assigned projects.
  • Conduct pre-training site selection visits and conduct follow-up and evaluation.
  • Prepare monthly, semi-annual, and annual project reports and other outputs.
  • Prepare or assist in the development of special program reports as needed.
  • Ensure project statistical and/or performance data for federal and/or state reporting purposes is timely and accurate.
  • Perform project or program tasks to assist in the administration of all programs, projects, grants, and conferences as directed.
  • Lead onsite coordination efforts for the delivery of training and technical assistance for the AATTAP CART program.
  • Arrange and track independent contractors/instructors, participants, and facility logistics.
  • Develop and design curriculum including learning objectives and lesson plans in areas of subject matter expertise.
  • Coordinate curriculum development, grant project materials, and other applicable resources in conjunction with independent contractors as needed.
  • Coordinate with internal and external clients to develop and implement the training calendar, agendas, and program materials for meetings and other project activities.
  • Use project databases, tools, management systems, reports, and other processes and procedures to ensure efficient operation and foster teamwork to accomplish project goals.
  • Serve as the initial point of contact for CART training and technical assistance communications with the service population, including service populations included in the Southern Border Initiative, Northern Border Initiative, and other territorial and international projects and partners.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary for effective project administration supporting the best interest of NCJTC.
  • Serves as a secondary point of contact for project communications with stakeholder groups.
  • Develop new funding opportunities and support proposal writing and funding submissions.
  • Assist with or perform meeting facilitation for internal and external planning committees and project development teams.
  • Assist with financial reporting as required by contracting services, grants, conferences, or other services provided by the NCJTC.


QUALIFICATIONS, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field, AND,
  • Minimum two years related, five years preferred, relevant occupational experience working in or with State, Tribal and Regional AMBER Alert stakeholders, OR
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
  • Experience working in a Criminal Justice Agency/Criminal Justice Training Program is preferred.
  • Project Management experience is preferred. Proficiency in computer use, including Microsoft Office applications. Travel is required.

Additional Information

Pay: $62,900.00 - $94,300.00 per year.

Pay is based on a multitude of factors, including experience, qualifications, education, relevant certifications, internal equity, and market data. Note: Internal applicants' wage will be based upon the applicable compensation structure.
