Role Description

About the Role

You will become a key member of the Sustainable Business group, leading research, teaching and outreach in the field of sustainability as it relates to the management of organizations. As well as developing your own portfolio of research, you will design, deliver and assess sustainability-related teaching and learning activities across award-bearing courses including the Executive MBA, MSc Management and MSc Management and Corporate Sustainability. You will take on academic leadership roles as module leader and/or Director of the MSc Management and Corporate Sustainability. There will also be opportunities to develop and launch innovative sustainability short courses and executive development. You will contribute to the achievement of the Group strategy, from the supervision of masters and doctoral theses, to participating in funding bids and leading outreach activities.

About You

We are seeking colleagues who is genuinely motivated by the opportunity to achieve better outcomes for society and our natural world by influencing and changing the business of business. You will have a vision for how organizations can, and should, respond to the urgent social and environmental challenges facing society, the ability to communicate that vision, lead change and make things happen quickly, and a determination to succeed which is grounded in a personal purpose aligned to this role.

You will be educated to doctoral level in a relevant subject, with expertise in the field of sustainability as it relates to the management of organizations. You will have prior teaching experience, ideally at postgraduate level. You will have already built, or being in the process of building, a research track-record in your field, publishing in high quality journals in a relevant research area. You should also be enthusiastic about engaging with senior managers, ideally bringing either prior industry experience and/or experience in executive education to the role.
