Summary

A visionary leader with extensive marketing expertise, the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications will develop, implement and lead the execution of a compelling marketing and communications strategy for the Tulane University A. B. Freeman School of Business that elevates its reputation as one of America’s leading business schools.
This new position will have the opportunity to develop the Marketing and Communications department team, strategy, and approach. Overseeing a team of talented and creative communications professionals and reporting directly to the Dean of the Freeman School, the Executive Director will lead a comprehensive digital strategy and gather and leverage data to design and execute effective, cross-channel marketing campaigns in support of the School’s recruiting, reputational and revenue goals. In addition, the Executive Director will launch and oversee a process for developing a distinct, compelling and clearly articulated brand identity that achieves the School’s aspirations to grow and elevate its graduate and professional degree programs in a fiercely competitive and sophisticated market. The Executive Director will also serve as a strategic marketing and communications partner to colleagues across the School and the University; identify and manage external vendors as needed; and manage the marketing and communications operating budget.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, communications or related field.• 10-12 years of experience in marketing, including supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field is strongly preferred.• Experience leading multi-channel, multi-media marketing teams, campaigns and strategies.• Experience with web/social monitoring tools.
