Animation Foundations, MW 8:15 am -1100 am
Animation 3, MW 11:30 am -2:30 pm

Salary:

Unit Member per credit $ 1,953.83 / Per 3 credit class $5,861.49

Non-Unit Member per credit $1,297.64 / Per 3 credit class $3,892.92

General Statement of Duties:
The Art department seeks applications for part-time faculty to teach courses to support our department's mission. We seek applications for part-time faculty in studio art for spring 2022 and fall 2022. NOTE: We seek to develop a pool of instructors to fulfill possible future needs for the following courses:

Studio Art
Instructors to teach animation classes, illustration classes, drawing classes, design fundamentals, and other traditional fine art studio classes. (There are no specific studio instructor positions available for the Spring semester 2022 other than the two listed above.)

Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include but are not limited to:
Essential:
  • Teach course(s) in a specific discipline
  • Responsible for instructional preparation and assessment of student performance
  • Provide assistance to students by appointment



Requirements:

Qualifications Required at Hire
  • An earned Bachelor's Degree in Animation, Illustration or Studio Art; collegiate teaching experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A demonstrated commitment to promoting domestic diversity and/or global multiculturalism in the curriculum where appropriate.

Additional Information:

Salary:
For the majority of new employees, the minimum starting salary will apply. Specific salary for current Westfield State University employees and individuals currently working for the state of Massachusetts must be calculated individually in accordance with collective bargaining and state policies and procedures.
