Job Details
The Volunteer Engagement and Weekly Session Assistant will support weekly academic check-in and support sessions as well as volunteer training and engagement projects. They support weekly academic check-in and support sessions as well as volunteer training and engagement projects. LEAD UP provides the job training for all job duties.

- Facilitate weekly Wednesday (1-5pm) online academic check-in/support sessions during the academic year.
- Support new volunteer orientation, training, shadowing, and placement for academic check-in/support sessions and other volunteer needs.
- Serve as a liaison between the LEAD UP student organization and the LEAD UP implementation team.
- Participate in cross-team meetings and LEAD UP student organization meetings.
- Consistently document LEAD UP student organization activities (meetings, events, resources developed, etc.) in appropriate CSL and ThrYve Community Check Box evaluation systems.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
- Student employees must be Federal Work Study-eligible.
- The student hourly must: 1) have been enrolled in no less than 12 hours in the past spring semester or 2) be pre-enrolled in upcoming fall semester in no less than 12 hours or 3) be enrolled in summer session or 4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. For the fall semester, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 12 credit hours.
- Excellent and accurate typing skills, excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to complete projects independently with attention to detail as evident of the application material.
- Basic experience with general office work and use of Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Excel).
- Attention to detail and ability to review and input data with accuracy.
- Adaptability and flexibility to new tasks, settings, and opportunities as evident of the application material.
- Ability to take initiative and work both as a team and independently based on the task as evident of the application material.
- Interest and passion for community service, civic engagement, advocacy, social justice, etc.
- Responsibility and personal accountability for completing tasks; attention to details and deadlines.
- Interest in youth development, particularly with racial and ethnic minority populations and groups,
- Willingness to learn new skills and work in new areas to support team efforts.
