Job Summary:

Student Success Liaison (Part Time) will be responsible for communication and outreach to the student body and serve as the assistant for Supplemental Instruction. The SSL will work 30 hours per week. The SSL will provide communication and outreach to all LSCPA students to support student success. This includes maintaining pro-active, regular and consistent contact with students in order to influence student success and retention. The Student Success Liaison will promote and inspire student success through personal example and increased student awareness and utilization of the success coaching services and other programs provided by Pathway to Excellence. This position is responsible for working independently and in collaboration with other campus units and relevant staff, faculty, and administrators to advocate for and support students’ success by serving as a resource and coordinator for all LSCPA students and connecting students with services/resources across campus. Other duties as assigned. This is a grant funded position is for a one and a half -year time period. Title V grant is a five-year grant awarded by the Department of Education. This position will report to the Director of Excelencia Center.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate Degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
At least one year of experience with Supplemental Instructions and/or Peer Mentors
Competent with all Microsoft Applications.
Promote positive campus image.
Follow established college policies and procedures.Must have a valid driver’s license.

Experience providing student or customer support via phone, email or chat.
Experience working in student support initiatives.
Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.Demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of students from diverse backgrounds.
Deal with students, faculty and staff in professional manner.

Promote a positive campus image.
Follow established college policies and procedures.
Travel: Frequent local travel.

SALARY :

$27,000 Annual Salary, Plus Excellent Benefits

Work Hours:

30 hrs a wk; Mon-Fri ; Occasional Overtime, Remote and weekend work
