Applications/ Systems Administrator
Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following position: Applications/ Systems Administrator in the Department of Information Technology Services.

Duties include, but are not limited to:· Serves as the primary systems administrator for the CS Gold enterprise systems.· Performs system configuration and design, installation, maintenance, and daily systems management/operations, etc. for CS Gold enterprise systems and related application modules in collaboration with vendor support.· Serves as the systems administrator for other assigned network or enterprise systems.· Performs system configuration and design, installation, maintenance, and daily systems management/operations, etc. for systems and related application modules in collaboration with vendor support.· Provides technical and troubleshooting support for the assigned systems.· Administers and maintains (upgrade/patch) application/system tiers, including web tiers, application tiers, and database tiers.· Builds and maintains production and pre-production environments in support of development and release management methodologies.· Programs Oracle to provide efficient and automatic processes that enhance and expand the Oracle database and user reports.· Performs and monitors the CS Gold system integrity.· Performs and recommends system and capacity planning, process improvements, planned downtime, and disaster recovery remediation.· Performs as Project Lead for all equipment and software installations.· Provides technical support in the identification, analysis, and resolution of both hardware and software problems in collaboration with vendor support.· Provides technical support in the identification, analysis, and resolution of access control systems hardware and software problems in collaboration with vendor support and the CINO card office.

Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field (ex: Computer Science, Information Systems) and experience in computer system development and modification is required. Relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis. Two (2) years of related experience in Higher Education Systems, such as Ellucian Colleague and CS Gold and experience in the administration, installation, and configuration of enterprise applications/systems, database management software such as Oracle/SQL Server, SQL Scripting, PL/, HTML, and CSS is preferred. Experience in the administration, installation, and configuration of web and application servers, preferably in any of the following products: Apache/Tomcat, Oracle (HTTP Server/Web Logic Server), or Microsoft IIS is also preferred.

Systems Engineer I (AM20/61123030/ FTE-S00844P), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: 07. Salary range: $52,357.00 (minimum) to $74,613.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 pm. To ensure that essential services are provided to the university community, the employee will be required to work outside their regular working hours as needed at night or occasionally on weekends. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university. Information confidentiality is highly critical.

Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

SQL reporting experience on relational databases. Possess working knowledge of networking and operating systems and experience in Windows server administration.Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills are required. Ability to function as part of a team.
