Responsibilities

The BU School of Social Work is looking for an outgoing, organized staff coordinator to support two departments within the School: Student Services and Alumni Relations. In this role, you'll handle a variety of administrative tasks, project and event planning, and communications, primarily with students and alumni. This is an outward-facing role that also serves as the Schools receptionist assisting visitors to the School and maintaining the Welcome Center. You'll collaborate with colleagues across the School in event planning and project management. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, as well as being highly organized and confident in providing guidance and a welcoming attitude to school visitors.

Required Skills
  • B.A./B.S in relevant field preferred.
  • 1-3 years experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, strong work ethic, detail-oriented multi-tasker able to prioritize work responsibilities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate on a cross-functional team.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, familiarity with Wordpress, databases and digital newsletter platforms (Mailchimp preferred).
