As part of the Feld Center for Career and Alumni Engagement team, the Industry Relations Manager (IRM) will manage relationships with existing employers and conduct new business development to cultivate new employer relationships within the consumer products sector for the purpose of enhancing career outcomes for Questrom undergraduate and graduate students. The IRM will expand internship and job opportunities for Questrom students by establishing strong relationships with key employers, recruiters, and alumni in order to develop important networks, identify quality internship and career programs and opportunities, and keep abreast of employer needs. The IRM will identify and build relationships with target employers within the consumer products sector with strong internship and full-time job opportunities that align with Questrom students interests and strengths, and to increase opportunities for students to interview with these companies by effectively marketing the Questrom School of Business. The IRM will engage employer partners for on and off-campus recruiting events and activities, and will involve employer partners in other engagement opportunities in classrooms, in collaboration with student organizations, and through faculty partnerships. The IRM will systematically conduct research among prospective and current recruiters that clearly identifies their needs and how to best meet them. The IRM will share information, analysis, and ideas from the marketplace with fellow faculty and staff members for the purpose of better preparing students in their chosen career paths.

Required Skills
  • BA or BS or Equivalent Experience Required
  • 8+ years related experience in Executive Search, Corporate Relations, Development, or major account sales and marketing.
  • Marketing & Sales Experience
  • Familiarity with Executive Search, college placement or university development
  • Demonstrated ability to set and meet targets
  • Excellent time management
  • Unquestionably high integrity
  • Knowledge of employment trends
  • Excellent written & oral communication
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing and sustaining professional networks
  • Ability to travel throughout the year: A portion of time spent on the road visiting existing recruiters for BU Questrom. Travel will focus on major metropolitan areas. Occasional trips may include other part of the United States and abroad.
