College/Department Information
The Executive Vice President for Finance and Chief Business Officer leads Budget Planning and Operations, Facilities Services, Finance, Financial Planning and Analysis, Organizational Change Management and Strategic Initiatives, and Public Safety and Police.

Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of Organizational Change Management and Strategic Initiatives within the Finance Division, the Business Process Specialist will be responsible for analyzing business processes to assist with identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and facilitate continuous improvement. This individual will work closely with department managers, staff, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and design, document, and communicate solutions to improve business processes and to help leaders manage change.

Responsibilities
The duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Conduct process mapping and flowcharting to document business processes; Create process documentation and training materials.
  • Analyze and compare data and documentation to identify trends and areas for improvement; Identify inefficiencies in business processes and recommend improvements.
  • Support development and implementation of process improvement initiatives; Monitor process performance and measure success.
  • Assist with development and execution of change management plans; Communicate process changes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
One or more years or work experience with process improvement, performance optimization, leveraging Lean, or Six Sigma concepts, including DMAIC
Certification in one or more process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean
Certification in Change Management
Certification and/or Trailhead ranking in Salesforce
Certification in ServiceNow
Demonstrated proficiency with process mapping and flowcharting tools such as Visio or Lucid

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
ABILITIES
Proficiency in process analysis
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High level of organizational and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong understanding of business operations and process management
Ability to think strategically and understand the big picture
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel

Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F (work outside of the normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position)
Pay Grade: 15
Salary: Minimum $38,913.00/Annually - $41,016.00/Annually
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
