Position Summary:

Prairie State College seeks adjunct instructor to teach Spanish High School Equivalency (GED): Contextualized Math. This course prepares Spanish-speaking students to pass the GED Math and Science exams. The class is taught in Spanish.

The course meets on campus, evenings, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30pm-9:45pm.

Class begins 8/29/2023 and ends 11/16/23.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s in GED content area or related areaAbility to use technology to enhance teaching and learningExcellent writing and organizational skillsSpanish/English bilingual

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s in GED content area or related areaExperience teaching in an Adult Education programFamiliarity with GED exam content and componentsStandards Proficient Training credentialCredentialed to teach online
