- Plan, implement and manage programs designed to increase gift income for approved strategic initiatives in the School of Business and School of Computing and Engineering
- Work closely with the Deans of the School of Business and School of Engineering to
sustain an effective development program - Demonstrate leadership through exemplary performance in the personal cultivation of prospects and solicitation of major gifts
- Plan and implement special cultivation and solicitation activities to obtain funds from
major prospects in order to increase major gifts from alumni, parents, friends, corporations
and foundations - Secure gifts for the capital project for the School of Business
- Carry out assignments in a major capital campaign and other specific tasks requested by
the Vice President for Development and Alumni Affairs - Grow and evaluate the School of Business and School of Computing and Engineering Advisory Boards
- Bachelor's degree required
- Master's degree preferred
- Experience may substitute for some of the above education requirements
- The ability to develop and execute successful fundraising campaigns, identify potential donors, and maintain positive relationships with existing donors
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate the university and schools' vision and goals, as well as communicate with donors and alumni
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, alumni, and community leaders
- Ability to think strategically about fundraising initiatives and develop plans that align with the university's goals
- Ability to analyze data and metrics related to fundraising efforts, track progress, and make data-driven decisions
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders across the university, including academic departments, administrative offices, and alumni associations
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to think creatively about fundraising initiatives, donor recognition programs, and other ways to engage donors and alumni
- A strong understanding of the university's history, mission, and culture is critical for developing fundraising strategies that align with the university's goals and values
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity and inclusion
