Earlham College is seeking an Art History Adjunct Professor to join our team.

Earlham College Art Department seeks an adjunct instructor for Fall 2023 to teach two 4-credit courses as a sabbatical replacement.

Courses will be held in person on Earlham’s campus in Richmond, Indiana. Courses will meet back-to-back on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:00-9:50 AM and 10:00-11:50 AM.

Responsibilities:

• One course is ART 116 Art: Context and Meaning, our global intro survey covering pre-history to 1400 CE. The other course is ART 211 20^th Century Art, a research-intensive introductory-to-intermediate course. Instructors are encouraged to bring their own areas of expertise to both courses.

Qualifications

• MA, ABD, or PhD in Art History or related fields, or MFA with relevant teaching experience
• Be a positive example and resource to all Earlham Students
