Job Summary

Atlanta Metropolitan State College (AMSC), a four-year, degree-granting institution of the University System of Georgia, is accepting applications for Part-Time Faculty to teach business administration/business management courses during the day, evenings, weekends and/or online.

Required Qualifications

This position requires the candidate to possess the following skills: ability to teach classes and lecture; grade papers, conduct research, create quizzes and assignments; and must be able to perform each essential duty efficiently and satisfactorily. The candidate must have strong oral and written communication, listening, and organizational skills; be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and relevant business application software packages; must be able to work cooperatively and effectively with others; be able to use small office equipment, including copy machines or multi-line telephone systems; be able to use computers for data entry, word processing and/or purposes.

Applicants wishing to teach any undergraduate degree-level courses in Introduction to Computers, Fundamentals of Computer Applications, etc., must have earned a minimum of 18 graduate level semester hours or 30 graduate level quarter hours in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university. The college is building a repository of qualified part-time faculty.

Proposed Salary

The salary for the position is commensurate with qualifications and experience within the budgetary parameters of the college and of the University System of Georgia. There are no benefits associated with this position.
