The position is housed at the FSU Isabel Collier Read Medical Campus in Immokalee, Florida.

Responsibilities

Clinical psychologist to serve as a teaching faculty providing direct clinical service and teaching trainees. Faculty will spend 25% of their time providing direct clinical services as a health psychologist within a primary care team. Another 25% of their time is spent providing supervision of Clinical Health Psychology Postdoctoral Fellows and medical students/residents, and teaching in formal Didactics. Faculty will spend 50% of their time working at the FSU Center for Child Stress & Health, an affiliate of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network. The ideal candidate will be engaged in scholarly activity with the Center’s work in local and national trainings, research in child stress and health and participate as a member of the Center’s research team, including implementation of research protocols.

The position rank (Assistant – Associate) will depend on level of experience. This position reports to the Regional Director of Southwest Florida with academic appointment in the Department of Behavioral Social Medicine. This is a non-tenure earning position.

Qualifications
  • PhD or PsyD from an accredited institution and a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
  • Valid Florida Psychologist license (or license-eligible in Florida).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
  • Expertise/experience in fast paced pediatric integrated primary care.
  • Eligibility for credentialing at Healthcare Network.
  • Fully bilingual Spanish/English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Latino populations is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with underserved/immigrant populations preferred.
  • Experience teaching health professions trainees preferred.
