Are you an experienced family medicine physician with expertise in sports medicine looking for a new opportunity to make a difference in an underserved community while joining a dynamic residency program? We are currently seeking a family medicine physician with MSK training to join our team and deliver primary health care to a diverse and underserved patient population.

In this role, you will be responsible for precepting residents in their continuity clinics, working with medical students in the clinic, providing direct patient care to your continuity panel, delivering didactic education, and potentially providing care on the inpatient service depending on your qualifications and desire. You will also be assigned residents to advise during their residency. Training in sports/MSK medicine is required, as you will direct the dedicated sports medicine clinic weekly and oversee/further develop our ultrasound curriculum for residents. You will also be the faculty advisor for our sports medicine area of concentration for the residency program and have the potential to serve as Team Physician for a local community college based on your qualifications and interest.

Our department encourages scholarly activity and professional development to advance our faculty, department, and discipline. Experienced and accomplished mentors are available to assist, and departmental support is provided to present and publish your work and provide experiences for your professional development.

All of your clinical activities will take place at the UF-CHFM Main Street Clinic location, which is where all of our residents see patients as well as most of the core residency faculty. We practice in a team-based model and offer X-ray and lab services at our clinic. We also have additional pharmacy support by a PharmD, an RN-health coach, and a social worker to help meet the needs of our patient population.

Minimum Requirements:

M.D. or D.O. degree or equivalent, board Certification or eligibility in Family Medicine and current Florida medical license or eligibility is required. Experience with E.H.R. systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

CAQ in Sports Medicine or equivalent experience

MSK point of care ultrasound training or experience.
