CHILD CARE AID (PART-TIME)

Scope of Job:
Comply with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (TDFPS) Minimum Standards.
Description of Duties:
- Assist the Lead Teachers with the supervision of the children and maintain a safe environment.
- Engage with the children at all times and show positive attention in their interactions.
- Provide the children with positive experiences by allowing them to explore their environment.
- Assist Lead Teacher with gathering and preparing materials for the daily activities.
- Assist Lead Teacher with meal time, diaper changing (if applicable), sanitation materials, furniture, and classroom environment.
From assigned supervisor.
Relevant coursework as well as knowledge of specific departmental equipment and procedures. Knowledge of special equipment used in the field. World processing, spreadsheet, and database software. Use of standard office equipment.
Must be 18 years old.
Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
Must have a current TB Test.
Must be CPR/First Aid Certified
Some or no prior experience.
Hours Per Week: 19 HoursWork Schedule:
Must have availability to work times from: 9:00am-1:00pm, 10:00am-3:00pm, 1:00pm-5:00pm or 9:00am-5:00pm
This is a part-time temporary assignment, non-benefits eligible.
Will be expected to participate in staff meetings, trainings, center activities. Some activities may be held on weekends or after 6pm.
