Position Summary::

The successful candidate will primarily teach courses ranging amongst college algebra, precalculus and trigonometry, and calculus. An ideal candidate will also have some experience coordinating multi-section courses, teaching in both large and small lectures, have some experience with learning management systems (such as Blackboard), and have some experience teaching online classes. Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in mathematics or a closely related field with at least 18 credit hours of graduate level mathematics.

The Mathematics Department at The University of Alabama invites applications for one renewable full-time instructor position. The appointment will begin on August 16, 2023 and is a two-year term with the possibility of renewal based on funding, availability, and performance. The successful candidate will primarily teach courses ranging amongst college algebra, precalculus and trigonometry, and calculus. An ideal candidate will also have some experience coordinating multi-section courses, teaching in both large and small lectures, have some experience with learning management systems (such as Blackboard), and have some experience teaching online classes.

Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in mathematics or a closely related field with at least 18 credit hours of graduate level mathematics.
