General Description
Under the direction of the appropriate Director, the Student Support Services Specialist will perform a variety of specialized duties related to the planning and the implementation of the orientation and matriculation programs in support of the student success with an emphasis in orientation. This will include but is not limited to planning, and implementation of program activities and providing students with related information.
The working hours will be:
Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Friday, 7:45 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
Full-Time 12-months. Initial placement is at $55,723.
The District will be hiring two (2) Student Support Services Specialists from this recruitment. One position will be located on the Visalia campus, while the other position will be located on the Hanford Campus. If selected for an interview, candidates will be given the opportunity to identify their preferred campus. All efforts will be made to accommodate the selected candidates preferred campus location, but we cannot guarantee the request will be granted.

College of the Sequoias is a two-year California community college offering educational and enrichment programs for the residents of its district in Tulare and Kings counties. The college was established in 1925 and moved to its current 62-acre main campus site in Visalia in 1940.
In addition to the campus in Visalia, COS operates a full-service center in Hanford that is also home to the college's police and fire academies.
COS also opened its Tulare College Center in January 2013. It is a full-service college center and the home of COS' agriculture program
