LOCATION: Green Bay Campus - Position requires availability to instruct on campus and in flexible delivery modes. Possibility to support program in Marinette.
HOURS: Flexibility in schedule is required for day, night or weekend classes as needed.
SALARY RANGE: $71,648.00 - $86,731.85 per year based on a standard 176-day, full-time obligation.
*Salaries/Wages for all finalists (internal and external) will be based upon education, experiences, current wages, and internal equity.

Northeast Wisconsin Technical College is an innovative leading-edge college dedicated to student success. It is our commitment as a College to ensure that we invest the resources necessary to positively impact teaching and student success. Consistent with this commitment all new faculty are required to successfully complete the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College Instructor Preparation Academy. The Academy is a structured, practical, course-based cohort learning experience during first three years of employment. Courses include teaching and learning strategies, guidance and counseling, curriculum development, assessment, diversity, and more. The details of the schedule will be made available upon hire.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach in an open lab environment. Instructor must be able to answer learner questions and provide on the spot learning moments on all Automation competencies taught in the Engineering Technology Hall. Topics include but not limited to: AC/DC fundamentals PLC's and automation devices, HMI's, VFD's, motion systems, industrial robotics, 3-phase power systems, machine safety devices and integration. Additional exposure to pneumatics, Hydraulics, and Mechanics with respect to equipment operation and troubleshooting is also required. Provide educational leadership; work effectively with applicable advisory committees, community groups, faculty, administration, and campus support staff including (CTED) Corporate Training and Economic Development to perform contract work.Manage classroom and shop/lab to ensure a productive and safe learning environment.Work to provide clear Automation pathways and subsequent partnerships with secondary education. Provide instruction and technical support to NWTC Corporate Training and Economic DevelopmentOne or two individuals on the team may be required to drive the lab truck in a safe and efficient manner.
Qualifications and Work Experience:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering and five years direct occupational experience. At minimum, an Associate degree in Automation, Electro-Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering Technology or related field and five years of related work experience may be considered with the expectation that the preferred education will be met within an established timeline.At a minimum, occupational experience has to have occurred at least 1 year within the last 5 years.Experience in an appropriate combination of design and programming/operation of PLC, HMI, VFD, motion, machine safety and other automation systems, and 3-phase power systems in an industrial environment. Project management experience, and at a minimum Lead Engineer experience.Occupational experience may include:Project EngineerLead EngineerSenior Engineer
