Job Summary

Columbus State University invites outstanding candidates to apply for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Public Health. The position is a nine-month, tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences in the College of Education and Health Professions.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include: teaching graduate Public Health and undergraduate Health Science courses; developing and maintaining an active scholarly agenda; performing service and administrative tasks necessary to enhance program, departmental, college, and university goals and objectives; assisting with the Council on Education for Public Health accreditation process; marketing of the program to prospective students; student advising.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should have an earned doctorate in Public Health, Health Administration, Health Promotion or related health field from an accredited institution, or the foreign equivalent; excellent written and oral communication skills; interpersonal and community collaboration skills; a record of successful research and publication (or demonstrated potential); and successful experience teaching at the university level.

Proposed Salary

Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
