Job Description:
The University of Florida College of Medicine - Jacksonville, seeks a full-time faculty member at the non-tenure accruing level of Clinical Ast/Aso/Full Professor & Medical Director - Value Based Care. This Senior-level position responsible for strategic leadership, oversight and direction; reporting directly to Senior Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs, UF College of Medicine - Jacksonville for this responsibility and the Department Chair of the Clinical Specialty. The expectation is to dedicate 50% of the time for this role. Responsible for designing a transition strategy that moves the organization to value-based care (managing populations). The director will develop relationships to achieve results, promote standardization and drive innovation by developing workflow and process mapping to design sustainable models. Additionally, the director will create process, structure, and care teams necessary to succeed in a value-based model while creating workflow design and role responsibilities to optimize the care team and health outcomes.

Expected Salary:
Academic appointment will commensurate with training and level of experience; benefits are excellent.
Minimum Requirements:
1. 10+ years of experience practicing medicine as a current licensed and board-certified Doctor of Medicine. Additional MBA, MHS, MPH or similar preferred.
2. 5+ years of experience with population health and associated experience in managed care, care management, and medical policy development, including 3-5 years of management experience. Responsibility for clinical programming and performance measures in commercial value-based care contracts, chronic disease attribution management, Medicare, and Medicaid preferred.
3. Experienced in coordinating physicians, leaders and other staff in an academic medical center setting employing a collaborative approach. Clear and compelling communication skills. Demonstrated leadership skills and competencies. Willing and interested in engaging directly in program and project development activities.
4. Knowledge and experience with population health programs and activities. Understand healthcare financing and value-based contracting. Experience with designing, implementing, or supporting CMS Innovation Center Alternative Payment Models (APMs) or commercial payers.
5. Experience in working with payers and providers in executing value-based care programs.
6. Expertise in Medicare and Medicaid payment policy, quality and performance measurement, alternative payment models, and coverage and payment rules. Lead teams as an expert in Value-based payment (VBC) to support implementing VBC programs
7. Knowledge of care delivery transformation or practice redesign efforts to improve patient experience and outcomes, including ambulatory care settings
8. Knowledge of quality and utilization measure performance tied to payment.
9. High energy, inclusive, collaborator, skillful communicator.
