Description ResponsibilitiesThe Department of Mass Communications invites applications for an instructor/assistant professor for the Fall 2023 semester. The selected individual will teach a wide range of courses not limited to video and audio production courses, sports production, web design, social media, and writing courses. The successful candidate may also be involved in working with CU Panther Athletics for in-house sports productions and be able to support the overall mass communications curriculum, along with developing new courses. The candidate will supervise and support department production projects, facilities, and students. He/she will participate in advising, have a research agenda, and participate in service activities as required, as well as perform any other duties within the scope of the position.
Qualifications QualificationsMA/MS in Mass Communications with a minimum of 18 documented hours in Mass Communications at the graduate level required. PhD preferred; Expertise in the area of Adobe Creative Suites Software, Web Design, Social Media, Video and Audio Editing Software, such as Avid Editing, ProTools and Final Cut Pro, required.
PREFERRED: Preferred applicants will have the capacity to teach Adobe After Effects.
