Job Summary

The Technology Department is seeking an instructional assistant professor to teach courses in Construction Management starting August 16, 2023. This is a nine-month (August 16th – May 15th) non-tenure track position. The primary teaching assignment will include courses in one or more of the following areas: residential development, introduction to building construction, construction methods, mechanical & electrical systems, surveying, and/or soils & foundations. The chosen candidate will be expected to participate in program curriculum development initiatives, participate in departmental meetings, activities, and events, and perform miscellaneous lab maintenance and improvement activities.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate

Commensurate with experience and qualifications

Required Qualifications

1.Earned Master’s degree in Construction Management, Industrial Technology, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related area.
2.Professional experience in the construction industry.
3.Ability to teach introductory Construction Management courses, including hands-on construction methods.
4.Candidates must be able to demonstrate oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position, as mandated by state law.

Preferred Qualifications

1.Academic preparation and work experience in construction management.
2.Additional experience in one of the following areas is desirable: construction documents, estimating, heavy equipment, construction materials.
