Job Description:
The University of Florida College of Dentistry is seeking applications for a full-time non-tenure track faculty position in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry as a Program Director and Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank. The University of Florida College of Dentistry (UFCD) is one of the leading dental schools in the United States devoted to improving and promoting oral health throughout Florida, the nation and worldwide through excellence in teaching, research, patient care and service.
This position will serve as Program Director for Advanced Education Program in Pediatric Dentistry. Responsibilities include clinical and didactic teaching of pediatric dental residents and dental students, participation in research/scholarly activity and intramural clinical practice. Program Director responsibilities will include evaluation of resident training, review/development/update of curriculum plan, preparation of reports/outcome assessment and compliance with CODA accreditation standards.
The University of Florida (UF), a member of the AAU, is the largest and most comprehensive public university in the state of Florida, with large undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate educational programs. The UF Health Science Center and its six colleges (Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health and Health Professions, Veterinary Medicine) are co-located on the Gainesville campus, with additional teaching, research, and patient care sites throughout Florida, and beyond.

Salary and rank are commensurate with education and experience.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum requirements include a DDS, DMD, or equivalent dental degree and completion of a CODA accredited advanced training program in pediatric dentistry with board certification from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and 5 years of academic/teaching experience in a CODA-accredited program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching residents in pediatric dentistry.
- Previous experience as assistant program director, or program director.
- Clinical and teaching experience of patients under sedation and general anesthesia.
- Previous experience/involvement in research/scholarly activities is also preferred.
