The Department of Neurosurgery is a top-tier department with world-renowned faculty and staff. Providing the best patient care available is the core of our mission, and is true for all our neurosurgical subspecialties including spine surgery, neuro-oncology (brain and spine tumors), skull base surgery, cerebrovascular and endovascular surgery (such as stroke or aneurysms), functional neurosurgery (such as for epilepsy or Parkinson’s disease), peripheral nerve surgery, neurotrauma and neurosurgical critical care, and pediatric neurosurgery in affiliation with our Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

The University of Cincinnati Department of Neurosurgery is seeking an Endovascular fellowship trained neurosurgeon to facilitate subspecialty program growth, increase patient access and contribute to regional coverage expansion. We are seeking a neurosurgeon who is interested in having a robust clinical practice, teaching opportunities, program building, and aiding in clinical research growth. They would join an established Endovascular division within a comprehensive department covering all subspecialty areas including spine, neuro-oncology, skull-base, neurotrauma and functional neurosurgery.

Essential Functions
  • Conduct and teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses and seminars.
  • Attend meetings, participate in governance, prepare materials for teaching.
  • Evaluate and develop curriculum for department and/or college.
  • Serve as an academic adviser for students and evaluate student coursework.
  • Serve on college or university committees and participate in curriculum development activities.
  • Serve on graduate committees, supervise laboratories (where appropriate), independent study activities, and off-campus learning.
  • Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of his or her responsibilities.
  • Render service to the professional or lay community which is relevant to the individual’s academic specialty.
  • Review, and where necessary, respond in a timely manner to all University-related communications.
Minimum Requirements
  • MD or DO
  • Licensure by the State of Ohio Medical Board.
  • Board certified/Board eligible.
  • Completion of ACGME Neurosurgery residency (7 years).
  • Completion of Endovascular Neurosurgery Subspecialty Training or CAST Fellowship (1 year).
