Assistant Professor, Adjunct - College of Cooperative Education and Professional Studies

Job OverviewThe College of Cooperative Education and Professional Studies, CCPS, invites you to apply to be included in the general pool of candidates from which part-time faculty will be selected each academic semester.

Some of the courses or responsibilities CCPS adjuncts will be responsible for are:

  • Information Technology Co-op Team - PD 1010 – Professional Development for CECH, PD 7010 – Professional Development for MS in Information Technology, COOP 7015 – Co-op for MSIT (FT), COOP 7014 – Co-op for MSIT (PT), Co-op Advising.
  • Engineering and Applied Science Co-op Team - PD 1011 – Intro to Co-op for CEAS, PD 2050 – Med-Curricular Co-op Community for Engineering.
  • Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning Co-op Team - Co-op Advising, Portfolio Reviews, DAAP Intro to Co-op.
  • Multidisciplinary Career Education - PD 1070 – Exploring Professional Paths, MLTI 1019 – Quest for Success in the Liberal Arts.
Essential Functions
  • On a part-time basis, conduct and teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses and seminars.
  • May serve as a faculty adviser for students and evaluate student coursework and provide professional practice instruction.
  • Engage in other activities ancillary to or in support of his or her responsibilities.
  • Review, and where necessary, respond in a timely manner to all University-related communications.
Minimum Requirements
  • Academic degree in an appropriate disciple and prior teaching experience.
  • Demonstrated organizational, written and oral communication skills are essential.
  • The candidate’s background must reflect effectiveness in interpersonal relationships and the ability to work harmoniously with a variety of interest groups.
  • Candidates must have an ability to use Windows-based office software products.
