Position Summary:

The Perkins and PATH Manager works in collaboration with the Dean of Allied Health and Emergency Services to manage the Perkins and PATH grants. Duties include collaborating with Marketing, Career Services, Advisors, Recruiter, WEI grant manager, and Faculty. The position will be responsible for grant budgets, grant reports, and other duties related to the Perkins and PATH grants. Ensures compliance with the Illinois Community College Board grant requirements. May supervise other positions applicable to the grant.

Reporting and Supervisory Relationships:

This position reports directly to the Dean of Allied Health and Emergency Services

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborates with multiple internal and external partners and stakeholders.
  2. Oversees daily operations of the PATH and Perkins grants.
  3. Coordinates with the dean to prepare the annual grant proposals, determining grant objectives, outcomes, and expenditures.
  4. Develops and implements strategies to meet the PATH and Perkins state objectives.
  5. Prepares all reports, documents, and budgets as required by the grants in collaboration with the Dean of Allied Health and Emergency Services.
  6. Coordinates data collection and reporting, programmatic, and budgetary oversite as required by grants.
  7. Ensures that all programs, activities, and expenditures follow the PATH and Perkins grant objectives.
  8. Supports selection and eligibility requirements for suitable candidates.
  9. Participates in ongoing professional development related to the Perkins and PATH grants.
  10. Attends all local, regional, and state meetings related to the Perkins and PATH grants.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Employee is subject to indoor work, and protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field.
  2. Two (2) years of grant experience.
  3. Two (2) years of program management experience.
  4. Evidence of experience working in collaborative environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience working at a community college.
  2. Experience working in Allied Health or CTE field.
  3. ICCB formula grant experience.
  4. Supervisory experience.

Anticipated Work Hours and Days:

Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some weekends and evenings
