Erikson Institute invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in Social Work with the possibility of conversion into a tenure-track assistant professor position. The expected start date is August 15, 2023. Candidates with research agendas focused on equity, justice, and human rights are encouraged to apply.

 

 

 

Erikson Institute offers a master's degree in social work and a social work focus area in our Ph.D. program. There are face-to-face and online tracks in the MSW program. Erikson is fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and the Higher Learning Commission. Erikson is recognized regionally and nationally for the superior quality of its educational offerings and its contributions to clinical social work, health care, scholarship, and service to our community.

 

 

 

The postdoctoral fellow will teach courses in the program, develop competitive grant proposals to advance knowledge in the field, work on research projects (with program faculty), and collaborate in course design and program revisions in the pursuit of equity and justice. Candidates with critical quantitative methodological expertise and/or familiarity with mixed and multi-methods are especially encouraged to apply.

 

 

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • An earned MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited program A Ph.D. in social work or closely aligned field by position start date Evidence of ability to teach in at least one core curriculum area (e.g., research methods, clinical practice, policy) Experience working with ethnically, racially, and culturally diverse populations

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Strong methodological and statistical skills Previous experience in grant writing and working in a team setting
