Summary

The Senior Development Officer, Corporate and Foundation Relations is a professional full-time professional fundraising position reporting to the Executive Director of Corporate, Foundation, and Research Relations. The position will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting a targeted portfolio of priority prospects assigned schools and centers in concert with their strategic plans and objectives. The Senior Development Officer will also work closely with other departments within the Office of Advancement including Donor Relations, Research, Development Communications, and Alumni Development Information Services. The position coordinates assigned corporate and foundation relations functions with minimal management or oversight.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 3 years fundraising experience in corporate and foundation relations in a higher education or relevant non-profit environment. Transferable experience including grant writing, sales, marketing, client services, etc., may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Specific experience in the solicitation and closing of major corporate and foundation gifts in a research university environment.
• Commitment to the values of higher education.
• Master's Degree.
