JOB SUMMARY:

This role represents a unique opportunity to apply your CTS-I or CTS-D skills in one of the most technologically advanced buildings in higher education. The Watt Innovation Center is a fully interconnected building with over 450 endpoints connected with DM, AVoIP, high speed IP networks, and Biamp Audio. It allows “Any Signal, Anywhere” flexibility and incorporates full building control, visibility, and audio with interactive support through its centralized command and control room, along with full automation through Crestron and Biamp control programming in every room.

The Audio Video Systems Integrator will play a vital role as we redesign the architecture and retool the building with the most advanced and emerging AV/IT technologies, with the goal of applying innovative and advanced tools to the university experience.

JOB DUTIES:

40% - Essential - Consults, installs, configures, troubleshoots, and corrects deficiencies in current AV systems including Crestron; AVoIP (SVSI, NVX, SDVoE); Tesira BIAMP; Planar displays (LCD, Clarity Matrix, TVF LED); VTC systems (Cisco Codecs, Zoom/Webex); Matrox recorders; Christie Spyder; Fusion Catalyst; Eppiphan Video Broadcasters; USB switching (Extron, Extreme and ICRON USB transmission); Digital Projection 3D projector; Philips ColorKinetics lights; APPO Blueray players; Vaddio PTZ Cameras; audio systems; Shure MXA910 array mics, Shure Wireless mics; Newtek Tricaster Mini; Inogeni Share2U; UPS Power supplies; Power Amps (Lab Gruppen, Crown); Audio BreakOut Boxes.

35% - Essential - Provides direction in the use and automation of current AV technologies. Integrate and expand features, capabilities, and services of current technology that have not been enabled or fully implemented in The Watt that will add functionality, provide better monitoring, and improve performance and reliability. Implements changes to Crestron AV programming code, Biamp DSP programming and design. Develops and manages customer service performance requirements. Contributes to the development and dissemination of customer support policies, procedures, standards and training. Develops strategy and sets guidelines for technical documentation methods and procedures.

15% - Essential - Supports configuration control and management of AV systems and technologies. Diagnoses and repairs complex problems in response to customer reported incidents. Designs and implements problem tracking and resolution databases. Updates documentation and maintains system drawings (Autocad). Ensures rigorous application of information security/information assurance polices, principles and practices in the delivery of customer support services.

10% - Essential - Provide design, integration and testing for new AV technologies and control systems that will expand current functionality or provide new services in The Watt. Directs research and evaluates and provides feedback on problematic trends and patterns in customer support requirements. Identifies AV solutions that will keep The Watt at the forefront in creating and maintaining state-of-the-art interactive learning environments. Maintains close contact with AV system vendors and attends applicable trade shows to identify cost-effective technical solutions. Maintains professional certifications including: CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D; Biamp Tesira Server; Crestron DMC-D-4K, DMC-E-4K, CTI-CTF, CNS-D. Maintain and apply detailed understanding of Acoustic theory; understands Windows and MAC OS video, audio, USB configurations; NVidia MOSAIC; and understands IP Networking. Serves as senior expert and consultant to Watt and Clemson officials on AV related matters.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelor's degree and experience in automated information or communication system design, installation, operation, repair or control programming. Related experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Master's Degree

Work Experience 5+ years in Audio and Visual communication system design, installation, operation, and repair.

CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D; Biamp Tesira Server; Crestron DMC-D-4K, DMC-E-4K, CTI-CTF, CNS-D.
