The University of Colorado is seeking faculty for a communication instructor position for the interprofessional Master of Science and Certificate in Palliative Care (MSPC) programs.

Examples of Work Performed Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Develop and teach communication curricular content as it relates to patients with serious and life-limiting illness and their families.
2. Collaborate with faculty to edit future communication content. Facilitate/teach communication education sessions conducted during program intensives.
3. Serve as capstone mentor for selected MSPC students.
Supervision Received
The Communication Instructor reports to the Director, Master of Science in Palliative Care, Melissa C Palmer, LCSW ACHP-SW APHSW-C JD and Director Interprofessional MSPC & Palliative Care Certificate Programs, Nancy Robertson, DNP, ACHPN
Supervision Exercised
The Communication Instructor will not supervise other employees.
Salary and Benefits
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $9,000 - $12,000 for a .10 FTE Position.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

- Master's Degree in Communication or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- Master of Arts/Science or Doctor of Philosophy in Communication, or related degree.
- Experience developing curriculum and/or teaching
- 2 years' experience working in palliative care on a clinical team OR 2 years' experience teaching communication on a graduate level of higher.
