Overview
The Department of Neurology has an opening for a motivated, full-time postdoctoral fellow to support the CU Neuromagnetic lab. This position is anticipated to be for 2 or more years. The postdoctoral fellow will work independently under the supervision of Dr. Isabelle Buard to assist in investigating oscillatory patterns of people with traumatic brain injury (TBI) during sleep and their relationship with sleep quality and memory consolidation. We are seeking an individual who is collaborative, communicative, organized, proactive, able to think critically, focused on quality and dedicated to personal growth.
The CU Neuromagnetic lab at CU Denver exists since 1975 and has been involved in many MEG "firsts". These include first recording of the magnetic equivalent of the P50 auditory evoked magnetic field and the first published MEG recordings in non-human primates. Several patient populations were first studied in Denver with MEG as well: 1) patients with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder and Fragile X syndrome. Our current research projects focus on movement disorders, such as Parkinson's and Huntington's diseases, as well as on clinical populations with traumatic brain injuries.

The position is located at the Anschutz Medical Campus. Hours are usually 8:00 to 5:00 weekdays, but occasionally longer hours are required.

The salary range (or hiring range) has been established at $ 56,484 - $ 59,592/yr. Salary is commensurate with skills and experience and based on current NIH NRSA post-doctoral stipend levels.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Investigate oscillatory patterns of people with traumatic brain injury (TBI) during sleep and their relationship with sleep quality and memory consolidation. Assist with MEG data collection and lead the analysis part of the project, in collaboration with other study stakeholders. Learn and understand the clinical profile of people with TBI and its relevance to functional impairments. Learn about grants and the submission process. This position will receive grants submission mentorship and is encouraged to submit grants. Working, communicating, and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders and colleagues (e.g., principal investigator and research team, Marcus Brain Institute for Brain Health - https://medschool.cuanschutz.edu/mibh, research staff, finance and billing professionals, and regulatory team).

- Ph.D. in neuroscience, physics, biomedical engineering, computer science or associated field. Prior experience with signal processing and analysis of neuroimaging data (MEG, EEG, fMRI, fNIRS, etc...)
