Job Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the review, audit and entry of all employee travel authorizations, reimbursements and registrations; as well as provide training and assistance to employees regarding proper travel and reimbursement procedures and electronic banking. This position also processes accounts payable invoices for assigned vendors, and assists the Accounts Payable Manager with outstanding checks and the unclaimed fund process.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

This position requires a high school diploma and experience in entry-level accounting or bookkeeping. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for required work experience. Preferred applicants will have an associate degree with accounting related courses; or a high school diploma and two (2) years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and previous experience in accounts payable are preferred. Ellucian Colleague and SoftDocs experience is a plus. Knowledge of principles and practices of accounting and bookkeeping, South Carolina sales and use tax regulations, and South Carolina State travel reporting is highly preferred. Excellent customer service skills are essential.
