RCB Career Management Services is seeking a high-quality (1) Manager of Immersive Programs to assume a variety of project management duties, under the direction of the Associate Director, Immersive Programs, to engage internal and external stakeholders to support our growing portfolio of strategic partnerships, immersive programs, innovative scholarships, and talent recruitment activities across the Robinson College of Business and Georgia State University

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

The ideal candidate will work closely with members of the Strategic Partnership team including, but not limited to our Associate Director of Operations, and Business Manager, and is responsible for supervising student staff.  With the continuing evolution and growth of the college, this position is essential to help support the continuation of that growth. This position is also critical to managing Robinson’s key internal and external relationships. In addition, as part of the continuing evolution and growth of the college, this role aligns with Accelerate 2025, the Colleges strategic plan which calls for the development of additional external partnerships.

The Manager of Immersive Programs is an integral team member within the Career Advancement unit. This staff member, under the direction of the Associate Director, will focus on key activities including, but not limited to:

    Immersive Program Project ManagementStudent Recruitment, Application, and Selection Process for Immersive Programs and ScholarshipsEvent Planning, Budget Tracking, and Data ManagementMarketing and CommunicationAlumni, Student, and Volunteer Staff Management
Preferred Candidate Duties and responsibilities:

    Excellent project management skills and ability to manage time and multiple deadlines effectively.Outstanding oral and written communication skills, proactive problem-solving skills with strong decision-making capabilities, and the ability to work proactively and independently are values. Excellent organizational, event planning, and execution skills with a focus on detail to ensure quality.A high degree of professionalism, integrity, accountability, and initiative.Possesses a strategic mindset related to the achievement of goals, able to effectively communicate vision and translate ideas into operational goals.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced, process-driven environments while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with lean staff support.Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders including communication drafting, review, and proofreading.A team-oriented person who is highly collaborative, supportive, and relationship-focused.Demonstrated ability to manage time-sensitive problems in a constructive, positive manner.High personal standards of customer service, professionalism, and maturity are required.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

    The successful Manager will be enthusiastic, outgoing, organized, attentive to details, able to work under pressure to meet deadlines, able to work cross-functionally within the university, and committed to advancing the mission of the university.To excel in this role, you must be organized and detail-oriented, proficient with managing data, possess polished verbal and written communication skills, and be comfortable multi-tasking and able to work cross-functionally within diverse teams.Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is a must. Preferred candidates are expected to hold a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field and two years of supervisory/managerial experience; a bachelor’s degree and four years of related experience; or a combination of education and experience.Prior experience in event planning and/or operations in an office setting that is detailed oriented, heavily written communication, education, or a related field. Computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Adobe and Salesforce are preferred; Prior experience in writing, journalism, and/or event planning is a plus.

Founded in 1913 in Atlanta, Georgia State University is the second-largest and one of four research institutions in the University System of Georgia. Georgia State’s main campus is located on 34 acres in downtown Atlanta. University centers in Alpharetta, Brookhaven, Buckhead and Henry County offer students convenient suburban locations for graduate courses in business and education.

More than 50,000 students annually attend Georgia State University. While 90 percent of the students are from Georgia, students also come from all 50 states and 160 countries. The university announced in April 2008 that is will begin Division I-AA football in 2010.

The university’s innovative Touch the Earth program brings outdoor recreation ranging from backpacking, rock climbing, sailing, kayaking, rafting and water-skiing to out-of-state snow-skiing and snorkeling trips. And WRAS, Georgia State’s popular 100,000-watt radio voice, is the most powerful student-run radio station in the United States.
