Description:Reporting to the Assistant Director, Academic Systems, the Asset Management and Quality Control Analyst within ITS Engagement and Client Support is responsible for executing the University’s IT asset management (ITAM) strategy in accordance with the defined Technology Procurement and Asset Lifecycle Management process. As a member of the ITS Asset Management team, this role is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the University’s ITAM function.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensures error-free receiving and inventory control, including maintaining all ITAM records to the highest standard of precision, accuracy, quality and timeliness.
- Continuous verification of the University’s ITAM data through periodic cycle counts.
- Assists in the creation and execution of project plans for scheduled large-scale equipment refreshes.
- Attends and operates the University’s ITAM stockrooms, including accepting deliveries of technology assets from carriers (e.g. FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.).
- Verifies receipt of assets, physically tagging them, and accepting them into stock.
- Applies standardized configurations to assets as appropriate.
- Delivers and installs assets to end users and places into service.
- Moves and/or reassigns assets over the course of their lifecycle.
- Collects assets for lease return or disposal/recycling at the end of their lease and/or useful life.
- Prepares assets for lease return or disposal/recycling or lease return.
- Facilitates the lease return or disposal/recycling process, in collaboration with the ITS Procurement team.
- Provides limited technical support incidental to the execution of the duties described.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of standard IT asset management processes.
- Experience working in a logistics, receiving, or other warehouse operation with strict inventory controls.
- Demonstrated fluency in written and spoken English with the sophistication necessary to effectively communicate technical details to both technical and non-technical individuals.
- Exceptional customer service skills, and the demonstrated success in previous service-oriented roles.
- Practical technical skills in a variety of technologies, including but not limited to: macOS, Windows, and mobile device operating systems; Common business software applications including the Microsoft Office suite
- Experience using ServiceNow for IT asset management and/or IT service management tasks.
- Experience executing defined configuration management workflows using device management platforms including Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), and Jamf Pro.
- Understanding of and sensitivity to the diverse and inclusive nature of a distinguished higher education environment.
