Job Summary:
The laboratories of Drs. Krishna Mallela and David Bain in the Center for Pharmaceutical Biotechnology have two full-time postdoctoral fellow positions available. We are seeking highly motivated and talented individuals with a strong background in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology to join our program as a Postdoctoral Fellow. The research focuses on analytical characterization of protein and antibody therapeutics and mRNA vaccines and their interactions with container/packaging systems and the underlying mechanisms. The Mallela and Bain Laboratories are located in the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences on the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.

$56,464 - $61,572
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.

- Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biophysics or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology (industry experience preferred but not required). Experience with protein structure, stability, and aggregation characterization using various biophysical techniques.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of current challenges in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, especially regarding the therapeutic macromolecules.
- Experience with biochemical characterization of proteins, monoclonal antibodies and mRNA, packaging, and critical quality attributes.
- A highly motivated self-starter who is able to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of experimental design and basic science techniques. Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution. Outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills, ability to problem-solve, multi-task, and work independently. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to interpret and comprehend complex research protocol information. Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
