Enterprise Systems Project Manager, Department of Technology Solutions – UT System
MR 15 - The target salary for this role is $90,000 – $120,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience within the market range.
Onsite, remote or hybrid schedule.

The Opportunity 
The Enterprise Systems Project Manager will play a critical role in managing complex system-wide technology projects, with an initial focus on the system-wide student solution assessment project. Manages and coordinates large-scale and highly visible projects, including the development and implementation of various objectives such as the scope of the project, financial budget, timeline, accuracy and quality of deliverables, and desired outcomes.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Project Management
  • Coordinates and manages technology projects throughout the project life-cycle.
  • Predicts risk factors and eliminates obstacles for the successful completion of the project.
  • Designs and develops a timeline for the project and appropriately delegates responsibilities to members of the team.
  • Monitors costs and calculating the number of resources for the project.
  • Provides metrics, data analytics and other progress reports to leadership on a frequent basis.
  • Manages changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs.
  • Ensures that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation.
  • Tracks project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
 

  • Vendor / Stakeholder Relations
Coordinates and manages efforts in collaboration with vendor project coordinator/manager.Coordinates efforts with project Change Management lead and Communications lead.Provides oversight, training, resources, support and clear communication to team members assigned to the project.
    Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements for Qualification
The successful candidate will hold Bachelor’s Degree with prior experience overseeing or implementing a large-scale project and experience in the development of managed reports.

The candidate will have:

    Ability to think analytically.Ability to solve complex problems and to reach shared resolution.Ability to foster collaboration and team work.Proficiency in excel and other project management software.Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to a variety of audiences.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities.Demonstrated skills in applying project management principles, methods and practices.Effective leadership skills and the ability to delegate responsibilities and to hold others accountable.
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Management or business related field and will have:

    Project Management Certification.Demonstrated experience within the higher education industry.Prior experience with student system process design and/or system implementations.Knowledge of cloud-based enterprise and/or student solutions.Demonstrated skill in researching and analyzing complex problems and developing innovative solutions. Ability to effectively advise senior-level management. The ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships across the organization. Well-developed analytical skills and the ability to understand and oversee technical design and implementation.
