Job Details
Chapman University seeks applications for a Visiting Professor of ADR and Competitions for the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 academic years. Successful candidates will teach one 3-unit section of an ADR or related skills course (Negotiation or Mediation) in both fall and spring semesters and coach and supervise coaches of Fowler’s Moot Court and ADR competition teams. QualificationsJD degree from an ABA accredited law school and a minimum 3 years of experience teaching law students skills related to legal practice including client interviewing and counseling, mediation, negotiation, drafting legal briefs and oral advocacy.
ResponsibilitiesTeach two sections (one per semester) of ADR or related skills courses including Client Interviewing and Counseling, Negotiation and Mediation. Coach and supervise coaches of Fowler’s Moot Court and ADR competitions teams. The position requires successful candidates be available for evening practices and frequent travel to domestic and international competitions.
