REGISTERED NURSE Coastal Carolina University seeks applications for the position: Registered Nurse (full-time position with benefits) in Student Health Services.

Duties include, but are not limited to: provide clinical services to students including triage and emergency management as required; perform or assist in procedures as necessary, including medications, immunizations and other diagnostic procedures; assist in the development and implementation of general policies and procedures designed to effect efficiency of operations; enhance professional growth and development; maintain licensure through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-services and meetings; and maintain adequate records, room stock, medical and laboratory inventory, medications, immunizations, and medical supplies.

Requirements: A Bachelor’s of Science degree in nursing or a three-year diploma in nursing from an accredited program is required. Must be licensed to practice as a RN in the State of South Carolina. A minimum of two (2) years of clinical nursing experience is preferred, preferably in university student health center.

Registered Nurse I (EA20/611216803/FTE-S00809P), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: 06. Salary range is $43,030.00 (minimum) to $79,616.00 (maximum). Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, during clinic hours. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.

Required Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

Required Licensure and/or Certification:

Must be licensed to practice as a RN in the State of South Carolina.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Quality improvement and accreditation experience; ability to assess student health problems and make decisions regarding disposition of care. Must possess knowledge in urgent care, women’s health and routine medical issues. Must possess working of pharmacology terms and concepts, lab tests and treatments. Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing and should have excellent organizational skills.
