Job Responsibilities

Respiratory Care Academic Program Director provides leadership, management, supervision, planning and coordination of instruction for students, student advisement, recruiting, student retention, assistance and support to program\division faculty and staff, the College and community in a professional manner. Includes curriculum and instructional development, assessment functions to include program learning outcomes and student learning outcomes. It is the direct responsibility of the Academic Program Director to maintain and ensure accreditation of the program.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Faculty teaching associate degree courses not designed for transfer to the baccalaureate degree requires bachelor's degree in teaching discipline, or associate's degree & demonstrated competencies in teaching discipline & two (2) yrs. progressively responsible related work/teaching exp. Must be Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) & hold professional license as required by SC. Bachelor's degree required for CoARC accreditation.

Preferred Qualifications

Teaching experience at two-year college level preferred.
